Heres Something Helpful.

Do you have a clothes, a favorite top, or earrings, something that you have no idea where you found it?

Right click on anything in your invent, and go to Properties. Most of the time, unless it was boxed, it should give you the creators name. Click on their profile and get their store name under their picks or classified. If you need more help, just message them.

If you didnt already know that, now you do! :)

Recent Purchases

Sheesh. I've been so busy building and terra forming my new region (yay me!) AND shopping, but I havent spent any time of this little side project of mine. Making use of my shopping knowledge. Basically, I can tell you where to find anything. Almost. 99% of the time, I can give you store names off the top of my head. I love the Fashion Emergency group on Second Life, its really helpful to me. I do my best to make suggestions there as well.

At any rate. Here are the things I have purchased recently that should be mentioned. :)

Chinese Takeout Box Earrings! Yes!!! How cute is that. You can find them in Amour, at Turnstyle. Her main store is in Imjin. They're super cute. *also check out her Orcabessa earrings. Very summery and colorful.*

Emma Gilmour makes cute vintage t's at Surf City. I bought the Little Miss Helpful for 70L. Very appropriate. :)

Amaretto has new body shimmers. Sparkleyyyy. They layer as an undershirt and are perfect with a nice summer dress or gown.

Have you ever wanted Overalls? Go to Panjen. Shes made two versions, ripped and... not ripped. Sexy without a shirt too :)

Cakes hairstyle, Sting, is very cute for a short smart do, but Naughtys Untamed (a mens style) is a nice alternative. I like the flexi in the front much better on Lost Thereians style.

Theres other things I've purchased, it never ends. If there is a support group for people like me, please let me know. We can get together for group therapy. More shopping :)

Favorite Purchase of the Day

My favorite purchase of the day, and its only 7:30am SL time, are the Midnight Eyes from Escape. I haven't seen a notice lately, but decided to drop by and have a look. I really like the way Kya Eliot shades her clothing, and the colors she sticks with, everything is flattering on nearly everyone.

It's been impossible to find the right shade of black for my eyes. Maybe I'm picky, but its been on my to do search for months. Eyes are relatively inexpensive so I have tried on A LOT! At only 50L, these are your best buy for dark eyes.

Highlighting Your Face

If you're wondering whats up with the walking light bulbsthat are lighting up faces of the many pretties, please do.not.buy.one. I'll tell you how to make it yourself. Why have one? Because it makes you look beautiful in any light :) Even noon!!

1. Rezz a sphere. This means you go to Build/Create and select the picture that looks like a ball. It will place a wooden ball on the ground once you click that spot.

2. Get an pure alpha texture. How? Well you could ask around if you have any friends that build. Or you can message me, I'll give it to you. The folks in the Second Life Builders group can give it to you as well. So, drag that alpha texture from your inventory into the Texture box in the Edit menu, under the texture tab. It's going to make your sphere disappear too so highlight objects by pressing alt + ctrl + t and you'll find it.

3. Select the Features tab in the Edit menu for your prim. Click Light and watch your prim glow. :) You can play with the settings to make your face highlight the way you like, but I suggest keeping it low, the effect is already dramatic. Mine is set to .706, .500, 1.00 and .5m away from my face.

Attach your new prim to your nose, chin, eyes or mouth. I suggest nose, but you can play around with the effect by moving it in different directions with the arrows.

Now you're glowing!

Welcome to another blog about Second Life fashion. *sigh* If anything, this will be fun for me however, should you enjoy reading this too, then its even better. Plus, this will justify my spending habit for the better of SL's fashionistas. And as much as I love the bigger stores wears, I have a soft spot for the lesser known, out of the ordinary work. Hence the inspiration for my blog, I'll be trying to focus much of my ideas on them.
